Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Greets all customers in a friendly yet professional manner and makes customers feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with legislations and regulations.
  • Audits all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e., client signatures).

Job Description

The Tax Office Manager is responsible for the overall management of one tax office to ensure growth and profitability. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to: preparing tax returns, improving preparer productivity and performance, client relations and retention, and supervising a staff of tax preparers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effectively direct and manage an office staff consisting of three to five tax professionals.
  • Manage the preparation of federal and state income tax returns including the electronic filing process.
  • Resolution of customer complaints and customer service issues.
  • Maintain the appearance and condition of the office including all staff, workstations, and client files.
  • Manage the weekly schedules of employees.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the training process of employees assigned to location.
  • Perform any other similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Report to District Manager about your particular office location.
  • Track daily office operations and send reports to District Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Flexibility regarding hours/days of work.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Professional experience preparing Federal and State individual tax returns also preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those with prior tax office management experience.

Responsible for leading a geographic district of One Stop Tax Services offices. Recruits and hires seasonal district associates, providing coaching, development, and performance management to direct reports.   • Coach and elevate performance of associates through goal-setting, coaching, and providing timely feedback. Support Office Leaders in end-to-end performance management of office-level associates. Responsible for triggering corrective action processes, as necessary, for direct reports.
  • Responsible for providing associate development opportunities, building a culture of recognition and focusing on team member retention, resulting in a high-performing, energized, and collaborative district team.
  • Maintain client experience by ensuring every team member is focused on easing the clients' tax-related stress by providing a welcoming and personalized service. Seek and utilize client feedback to drive decisions and prioritize client-focused change.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
